In the unlikely events of:-
| Bleeding after an extraction: |
Roll up a clean cold damp handkerchief tightly, place it where the tooth has been removed and bite firmly for thirty minutes. We advise that you do not rinse out your mouth. Do not have any not drinks and certainly no alcohol. If this does not resolve the problem within an hour then seek further advice by telephoning our "On-Call" dentist. |
| Broken denture: |
During the week we will do our best to repair a denture as quickly as possible. For more complicated repairs and tooth additions, impressions will need to be taken by your dentist who will be able to estimate the cost and inform you how long it should take. |
| Severe pain: |
Please call us as early as possible as we are pleased to advise over the phone. Most dental pain can be treated in the short term by taking pain killing tablets available over the counter at your local pharmacist. Do not forget to call us to have your problem checked out as it may frequently return. |
